Hillary Duff Confesses About Weight Loss

If you are a Hilary Duff fan, you may remember that she lost a good amount of weight about two years ago. She had claimed that the weight loss came from healthier eating habits. It appears now that this claim was false.

Recently Duff, 19, confesses that she felt pressure from the media and fans to get thin.

"I did get skinny," Hilary tells Britain's Mail on Sunday. "I've felt that pressure like everyone else in my position. When a newspaper comes out that says 'Duff Puff - she must have gained 15 pounds' or something like that, how would any normal person react?"

Duff says, "It's so mean, but everyone keeps buying that stuff and talking about it, so it's not going to go away."

Duff's two and a half year relationship with singer Joel Madden ended this last November. She says "I felt like we were great together, and being on my own is great too."

Duff recently traveled to Europe to promote her new album Dignity. Hilary has since returned to her home in Los Angeles where she lives with her 22 year old sister Haylie. Their mother also lived with them until recently when she moved into a house down the street.

"It was her idea," Hilary says. "She said, 'I want to give you guys more freedom,' and I'm like, 'I don't want that. I want you here.' So I call her every day and I still always consult her before any big decision."

Hilary continues to gain popularity with her music and acting roles. The young actress has no plans of slowing down, and is always looking for new opportunities.

Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28, 1987) is an American actress and singer. Hilary gained her fame early on after staring in her own show entitled Lizzie McGuire. She went on the make several successful movies including Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003), and A Cinderella Story (2004).

It was reported that she made $15 million in 2005. Duff continued to expand by becoming a pop singer. She has had 3 platinum albums and sold over 13 million albums. She also launched a clothing line named Stuff by Hilary Duff and a perfume with Elizabeth Arden.

Duff is appearing this year in an action thriller called War Inc. and an animated comedy called Foodfight! Duff's new album is scheduled to release on April 3^rd, 2007 in the U.S.
