Hillary for President?

Leigh S.
Well, looks like the inevitable has happened again. Like the sun coming up in the morning, the ground hog seeing his shadow and a cat landing on his feet, Hillary has announced her candidacy for being president. Grrr!

I first heard of her in Januray 1992 when Bill Clinton was running for president and was dogged by his well known multiple affairs. One of the ladies in question, Jennifer Flowers, came out publicly and talked about her long running affair with Bill. She even played tape recordings of their phone conversations to prove her point. It caused Bill & Hillary to have to do an appearance on CBS' 60 Minutes to conduct spin control. I sat there and listened to Hillary deny that any affair had ever happened. Was she totally stupid or was her denial needed to further her and her husband's career? In her unbelievable denial, she said this in a mockingly fake southern twang: "I'm not just some southern woman standing 'By My Man.' " HAHA! In that one self serving sentence, she threw every southern woman disdainfully under the bus. But, in a way, she was right. No self-respecting southern woman would have stood by and been publicly humiliated by her skirt chasing husband, just for the chance to increase their political power base. No, they would throw him out on his ass, politics be damned. I guess self respect and truth are just relative terms to power hungry, ambitious people like her.

She showed her ruthlessness again during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Even when he wagged his finger on national TV and said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman!," I believed he was lying. But Hillary, looking for sympathy on the Today show said the whole thing was a lie perpetrated by a "vast right-wing conspiracy" bent on hurting her husband. (By the way, you'll see this type of sympathy mongering a lot in the next two years. Anytime somebody disagrees with Hillary, or points out the obvious negative fact about her, she'll turn it around publicly and try to spin it as a personal attack on her or working woman everywhere. That's what she'd say if she read this blog too.) Again, she was either the stupidest person on the planet, or clinging to some plausible deniability that could later be spun politically in her favor. Days later, when Bill fessed up and the term "getting a Lewinsky" came into vogue, Hillary was pissed, and she showed it. Again playing the sympathy card, she played it up as being a woman who just found out her always faithful husband had cheated on her. She was pissed because his admission had hurt them politically and made her "vast right-wing conspiracy" remark look like the thinly veiled attempt at damage control that it was.

To gain sympathy and empathy, Hillary lies. My favorite is one she was caught in (again) on the Today Show months after the liberal, idiot, celebrity loving electorate of New York had elected her as their senator, and days after the 9/11 attacks. She told Katie Couric that daughter Chelsea had narrowly escaped being injured by the attacks. This, supposedly, was because Chelsea was jogging in south Manhattan and was approaching the World Trade Center area when she, at the last minute, decided to stop in a coffee shop for a coffee (yeah, I always have the urge to stop for a coffee break in the middle of my jogs). Thus, she narrowly missed the initial explosions by being in the coffee shop instead of at the WTC. In a subsequent article in Talk magazine Chelsea reveled that she was staying at a friend's apartment more than 3 miles away from the blast and that her host had called her to watch the unfolding attacks on T.V. She tuned in on time to see the second plane hit the south tower and sat there all morning watching the reports on T.V. It is possible, however, that she did have an urge for coffee. So, the story may not have been totally false.

I could go on about Hillary's ultra left wing agenda (documented over the years), her money grubbing attempts at stealing items from the White House (which later she was forced to return or face criminal charges) or, her attempt to re-brand herself over the last 7 years as a middle of the road, millitary loving, hard working mother and warm loving wife. I'll suggest you read the book Rewriting History by Dick Morris. Morris is Willie's former campaign manager who worked with the Clintons from 1978 through 1996. Apparently he was sickened by the rebranding attempts Hillary made in her book Living History. He had an insider's point of view and he chronicles the half-truths, lies and mis-representations of her book, and of Hillary's statements since striking out on her own. His book isn't totally negative about Hillary, so his comparisons of her to Nixon are worth an open thought. In closing, let me say this: I am opposed to a female president but I don't think so lowly of all Democrats. But, the hypocrisy of Hillary and her ambitious hunger of power are clearly evident to me, so I'll never take her seriously. If you're blindly loyal to Hillary, or you'll vote for any women just to have the first female president, then I doubt you've considered anything I've written with an open mind, or that you'll take the chance of bursting your bubble by reading the book. Let Dick Morris show you the side of Hillary that she'll be desperately trying to keep in the background over the next two years. Consider this other side of her as you continue to consider her as the person who could be the future "Leader of the Free

you are a hateful person, and a hypocrite to boot. what does it matter to you what she did in her marriage. And you were not in NYC, with its "idiot...electorate" so you have no idea what it was like, or how easy it is to travel "3 Miles" in NYC. you live in a trailor and think American Idol is high culture.
