Hillary's Tears Score Points

It is ridiculous that conservative analysts criticize Hillary Clinton when she choked up a bit in her speech, by saying that she was showing weakness. Then when suddenly her ratings go up, they turn around and say she was faking it for effect. Whether or not it was planned or completely sincere, the real fools are the "professional" analysts.

In reality, our country needs a compassionate leader that actually cares. The conservative are too set on the "showing weakness" factor. A president that actually shows a caring heart is not weak. A president who is afraid to cry or admit when he was wrong is the much more serious weakness that we find in President Bush.

Not to mention, it wasn't like she broke down in tears. She only showed some emotion in her speech, which is much more than Bush can say about any of his speeches, which commonly appear that the first time he has even seen the speech is as it projects off the teleprompter.

Now, did she fake the cry? Well, is she really that good of an actress? If so, at least we know she has something to fall back on if the political race does not roll out the way she wants. Maybe she will when an Emmy for that performance. Honestly, it did not appear like a planned emotion. Though, it is hard to say since we are all well aware that Hillary may use the staging technique of Bush. An example of this technique is the staged questions in a press conference.

Also, the choke up appeared to be passionate. Anyone that gets worked up about what they are talking about will have that happen. This tells us that she genuinely cares about the country and her job. Unlike George W. Bush that treats his presidency as if he were a frat boy who landed a job which he is extremely unqualified for because daddy put in a good word.

In short, Hillary's speech was a positive point. Whether or not she was faking it, it shows that she can at least present emotion. This is far from weak. I want a president that cares, but if nothing else, I want a president that at least appears to care. That effort scores points with me. We have had enough of the presidents that could care less about the poor hard-working people that make up the majority of this country.

THANK YOU, everyone one for leaving your comments. I feel these are all good points without excessive ignorance that is common in debates.

I want to make sure that I emphasize that I am in no way supporting Clinton, only bringing up some points of the criticism. Thanks again!

Her vote to violate the UN Charter and invade Iraq has put the US in jeopardy as nations around the world are talking about squashing the bully USA whose greed to control the oil fields in Iraq caused us to destroy the country. Iraq was switching to the Euro which was going to harm the US in world trade, ya see. She says "I know what is going on". If that is true she would have been adamant about voting no to GWB and joining forces with Cynthia McKinney and Rush Feingold rather telling us her careful study of the situation meant we had to invade. Now, of course, she says, "we acted on faulty intelligence". A leader needs to see a larger picture than money in their pockets and consider long term ramifications of actions. She is not trustworthy. I read that even her husband has a piece of the Dubai pie, like Cheney and Bush's bro.

During one of the debates it was brought up that her health care plan did not get support because she refused to compromise and was secretive about the details, so others could make informed choices about it. She admitted she was wrong and learned something from the experience. One candidate said she is very intelligent. How intelligent is mandatory health insurance with penalty for those who do not buy it? The reason people do not buy it is because they can not afford it. Especially true of homeless people, who like it or not are citizens. "Dead beat Dads" thrown in jail for not paying child support are not earning money to buy health insurance. The biggest cause of lack of affordable health care is her favortism to her pharmaceutical rich corporations buying seats at the table with large donations to her campaign. She does not care about the country, she cares about her rich friends and making them richer.

I do not think a show of emotion is a sign of weakness. I do think rabid attack dog Clinton's "I am so tired and doing this all for you" show of emotion was contrived. How does she manage to go on, asked a tired housewife. Gee, how does Senator Obama go on? He has had death threats, KKK threats and is truly putting his life on the line and we see no I am exhausted tears from him despite his face showing the exhaustion and getting a sore throat. Clinton also shed no tears for Iraqi women, babies and children killed by US bombs or the father's and mother's that saw their body parts strewn across the streets. Her tears were shed simply because of her blind ambition to break the ultimate glass ceiling. She is a GWB Nazi rule clone. Many males have pointed to her crying as a reason why females should never be head of state~that time of month, ya see. I wonder about Jackie Kennedy who had a real reason for tears.
