Hillbilly Love Song

Dan Reveal
Hold me now, I've done fed all the cows,
and you'll be my woman 'till sunrise.
Let me begin by taking it on the chin
for the woman who paints all my blue skies.

And those urban folk with their store-bought smoke
couldn't carry a tune in a barrel.
But the square dance is set for July and yet
we'll need our shotguns for sparrows.

Hold me now, I've done fed all the cows,
and you'll be my woman 'till sunrise.
Let me begin by taking it on the chin
for the woman who paints all my blue skies.

And a cup of green tea isn't really for me,
but my moonshine is there if you want it.
Let it be said that when hillbillies wed
their old clothes are meant not to flaunt it.

{One, two, and a one, two, three...}

Hold me now, I've done fed all the cows,
and you'll be my woman 'till sunrise.
Let me begin by taking it on the chin
for the woman who paints all my blue skies.

For the woman who paints all my blue skies.

I'm sure the cows appreciate the feed. *LOL* This one should be set to bango music. I think your poems would make great songs. Pass the moonshine please. *LOL*
