Hilton's Going to Rehab, Too

Paris Joins La La Lindsay Lohan in the Ranks of the Overly Inebriated

Celebrity heiress-and everybody's friend-Paris Hilton had her legal team enter a guilty plea in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday.

Hilton did not appear in the Court and left lawyers Shawn Weitzman and Howard Patrick Holley to tell the judge what they-and she wanted.

But the surprising details came when her team told Judge Michael Sauer that instead of battling the charge of driving under the influence, she would comply with the court's wishes.

Perhaps the verdict didn't go as smoothly as planned for Hilton's team.

Paris received 36 months of probation and must pay a total of $1,450, including penalties, as well as attend an alcohol education program (read: rehab).

The stipulation to the verdict is that if Hilton were to complete 40 hours of community service, her 36-month probation period would be trimmed to 24 months.

Hilton's appearance stemmed from a September 6, 2006 charge of driving under the influence in Hollywood, in which her blood-alcohol content reportedly read .08, the legal limit in the state of California.

No word on whether or not Lohan called the hotel heiress to offer congratulations or her condolences.

$1,450 bucks is pocket change for Paris, and she will make rehab seem "hot". I think that the fair haired beauty will be more then happy to do some community service as she is not as lazy as most people would like to believe.

Maybe she and Lindsay can still hang out together. UGH! I'm so sick of these celebrities and their issues.

Oh, so THAT'S going to be the next insipid celebreality show to hit the networks- "The simple-minded: doing community service". There are certainly enough to fill out the cast..thanks for the article!

So glad that uber-celebs like Hilton have to face consequences too.
