Hindsight is only 20/20
When I can look back
Without bitterness or resentment
When I can see my mistakes as well as yours
And see the value of the lessons learned
When I see my past clearly
My present state can be completely understood
Then I can let go of the past
Have enough peace in my soul
To be able to seek and grab hold
Of what God has for me next

Post a CommentLetting go of the past is something that for many is very hard to do. I have a very hard time releasing some things just because I should it is not always as easy at it sounds, but none the less, it is a necessity in order to be able to move forward. You can't change what you've already done, but you can change what you are about to do.
Great poem, really enjoyed
Yeshuan, you did a wonderful job stating the truth succinctly and artistically. My hat's off to you!

Anything bad that happens in my life...I try to find the lesson I am to learn. Sometimes I feel I have learned some REALLY BAD lessons to prepare me for what is to come of my young kids!
Great poem.
Lessons learned from life's mistakes........ but, from those mistakes, we gain character, and strength. We are who we are now,
because of who we use to be. your poems have so much insight, I enjoy reading them. ~ Peace ~ Nancie
