At Mood, Project Runway's favorite design store, Kenly picked out a floral print for the Hip Hop genre. I have never seen floral prints in Hip Hop. I thought Leanne's suggestion of making her thuggish was stereotypical, but it was closer than what Kenly thought Hip Hop was.
At Tim Gunn's check in after making a suggestion to Kenly about her Hip Hop design Tim thought she was being sarcastic and facetious with her responses. That was a Project Runway first.
In the Project Runway confessional Kenly said, "I can't listen to Tim Gunn anymore because what does he know about Hip Hop.
As we soon shall see apparently Tim Gunn knew much more than she did. I think that's why he's the Project Runway mentor and not her.
Suede comments that he knows in his heart the judges will love his design. After being in the bottom the last three weeks on Project Runway, does Suede have a snowballs chance in hell? We shall see.
Now on the Project Runway Is where we hear some of the judges comments about the designers designs.
The judges said Corto was right on and Suede looked great in it. The consensus was the vest Suede designed was very cool. But that his design was missing a little more drama.
Jerell was told that his outfit looked great; Kenly was exposed but not too naked. It was very smart and sexy but not vulgar.
Kenly's design had unflattering pants and it didn't look Hip Hop. LL Cool J pointed out that it didn't look like it was part of the Hip Hop culture.
Leanne made a wonderful choice of colors; it was fantastic. However, the look was subtle and needed a little more country.
Kenly once again was defensive after the judge's critiques. Uttering she could have done better if she was given three days to do it. That wouldn't be fair now would it Kenly?
This week's winner was Corto and in one more week we will be down to the Project Runway final three so stay posted.
Finally Heidi got to say Auf wiedersehen to Suede.
