I went to bed
like mommy said,
'cause tomorrow is a big day for me
I have an important date you see
with colorful eggs and candy.

To church we'll go
first things first
it's important don't you know

Easter's the day
mommy said
That Christ
rose up from the dead

He went to heaven
to be with his dad
but he promised
one day to come back

If I see him tomorrow
I promised my mom
I would share some candy
from my sack

so nighty night
all sleep tight
don't let the bed bugs bite
