Background

Hippolyta, a captured slave, decides to escape from her captors. With the help of a horse and some spears, help Hippolyta escape to freedom!

This is essentially a test of your reflexes. You will move horizontally to the right, with a number of different obstacles to face as you ride your horse. You may have to jump over stumps or duck under branches or shoot down enemies with your spear. As the first player, use the WASD keys to control Hippolyta and her horse's actions. To toss your spear at enemies, simply press the space bar.

Throughout the simulation, a narrator will relate the story of Hippolyta and her escape. As you progress through each stage, you will hear more and more of the story. If you fail to pass an obstacle, you will have to restart from the last checkpoint to get the story right.

Along the way, you will accomplish achievements that will score you achievement points (AP) that can be used to purchase a few extra options. For instance, you can trade AP for a more hardcore story, or even multiplayer gameplay. Other races options are also available for purchase.

From the main menu, you can view your list of achievements. This list can give you an idea of the tasks you must complete in order to obtain achievement points. You can get achievements for anything from failing a certain number of times to dodging a certain number of enemies. The more you achieve, the more points you will be able to obtain.

As you progress through each stage, more obstacles will appear that will require you to react in different ways. Remembering the correct response to a certain obstacle is essential to completing the story.

With its fast-paced gameplay and creative storyline, Hippolyta scores a 10/10.
