Hipster - the New Social Networking Site

My name is Skip Pulley; I am the Owner and Managing Director of the Soundboy Media Group, based in North Carolina and located online at soundboyamerica.com.

The basic premise of hipster is unlike other social networks. The goal is to have businesses, artists and events search for you - instead of the other way around. This social networking site will feature downloadable apps, printable coupons, and group-based specialized discounts on just about everything. The site features a reverse search engine, like a reverse directory - based on your preferences.

Users can select a profile type, such as artist, band, business owner, trendsetter or marketing affiliate. When you begin to create your profile, the information you list and answers you give to specified questions for your profile type determine how you view the site and how others view your profile. Because everyone has to be approved in order to join the community, there is no spam, no robots and no unwanted alerts, emails or updates on activities of people you don't even know. I got the idea to create the site after realizing that almost all social networks are just a variation on the same theme; adding people, adding places, adding apps and so forth. Why not have the entire experience become more productive and more personalized?

I have created this new social network site based in Charlotte, NC as an example of what a true e-community and social media network can represent. Your profile reflects your local environment, as well as an abstract environment that you create - with your own unique culture or vibe. To join, you must verify your email address, be approved by a moderator and then create a profile on the network.
