Many stay at home parents would like to earn some income for their families yet are determined to stay at home and raise their children without relying on childcare. This means there are a substantial number of women, and of course some men, who are ready, willing, and able to work for your business as long as they can do it from their home and within their schedules.

For a business there are a lot of positive aspects to hiring work at home parents. One big plus is that work at home parents tend to be less expensive than a traditional employee because most work as an independent contractor. Working as in independent contractor means your business will not have to pay all of the taxes and benefits of a traditional employee. If you pay $10.00 an hour to an independent contractor then your only wages is that $10.00 an hour.

Another benefit to hiring work at home parents is that they are loyal to their employers because they come to count on the income they receive from working. Allowing them some flexibility in their work schedules to accommodate their family life, will give them a sense that your business relationship is win-win making them want to keep working for you and therefore work their agreed upon hours and do a good job for your business.

In the U.S. today there are thousands upon thousands of families who struggle to make ends meet and still live on one income so they can have one parent home to raise their children. Hiring work at home parents supports traditional family values and promotes an environment where parents raise their own children. It allows someone to stay at home with the kids yet still bring in some income to cover living expenses or extras like vacations and lessons for the kids.
