Even when I know I don't deserve it
What could I do to earn His favor?
It is only by His hand that I am saved
And if, in sin, rescue came to me through Him
How much more will He now be with me, His adopted son?
Though I may stumble and fall
I will never stumble out of His providential hand
His love has covered me and set me free
To love and serve Him with all that I am
Thank you, Jesus, for your precious Word
For by it you have revealed yourself to me
And your Word, Lord, will never return you void.
