His Troubled Heart

Shirley A Mandel
To my readers and fans, some of my friends here in Southside do not like this poem because of a tricky play on words that I use, and they think that it is a little off track doctrinaly. So I posted the poem in a display only format, and if the consensus of opinion here is that I'm off track then I can just take it down. I write this stuff for your edification and pleasure and not for my humongous ego.

Also, please bear with me as I get caught up on responding to my many kind comments. I always strive to respond to each and every one, but because I get lazy sometimes, I get behind. See ya on your contributer's pages!

Love

God is a troubled Maker,
and He is plenty concerned
about you.

He thinks everyday
about your spirtual wellbeing
and your eternal destiny.

Surrender to Him
and please
ease His troubled heart.

God is a troubled Maker.

I think your poem is wonderful and it reaches out to others. There will always be someone who doesn't like your work or needs to "shoot" it down. I think this will reach more people because they wouldn't want to cause trouble. This is actually great for the younger generation.

Well Done, Shirley...i definitely believe that it hurts God's heart to see people intentionally choose not to have a relationship with Him.

Yes, I believe that God feels pain and sorrow over our refusal to obey Him and to constantly go our own way; however, He is not surprised by any of it, and He already set His plan in motion to redeem us and the creation. Very thought-provoking, Shirley.

Scripture speaks in a manner that expresses God's great grief over the actions and behavior of his creation. We read of wrath and anger, sorror and remorse. And what means the words that say, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed until the day of redemption.". And did not Jesus groan in his spirit over the unbelief of his disciples? Yea, God is a troubled makered. Though he knows the outcome, and though he can change it at will, he gave us free will and because of that givt we trouble him to know end.

I often look at opposites as a means to understand things clearer. It is good to be "brought up short" sometimes. I think your poem makes people stop and think. Thank is great! I have a piece I wish to write sometime, God as a dinner guest... lol And yes, He is a trouble maker sometimes!!!! Remember the dinner hours reflected in the Bible? My goodness, as a hostess the dinner conversation could be quite the challenge. lol I look forward to reading more of your work. God Bless you. `Laura

I can't imagine God being troubled. The book of life was written before our times. Our fate is set according to what I believe. God is omnipresent and well aware of what our troubles are. I worry, rather get concerned about my children. I hope my maker is not troubled. That makes me feel bad. God is my parent more so than any parent I have had in this life. I hope I don't trouble him. I hope you agree to disagree.
