His Work Philosophy

Martin and Kevin are close friends. They are engaged in a heated discussion about the general attitude towards work. John visits them and he joins the conversation. The topic of discussion is the philosophy of work. Each expresses his view.

John: I am fed up with work. It is monotonous. I wonder when this drudgery will end. I wish we had holidays for the whole year.

Martin: Don't say like that.It is only because we have work we are living. We get our salary because we work. You know, work is worship. I believe in doing work and am honest about it.

Kevin: I subscribe to Martin's philosophy. I too believe in work and worship. My philosophy also elevates work to the high pedestal of worship.
But there is one difference. I follow the religious practice regarding worship. Do you touch the thing you worship? So reverentially I don't touch work. That is how I worship it.

Martin: How can you say that you are following your philosophy? The content is different and harmful in your case. You have only cleverly manipulated the expression to justify idleness.

John: He is very practical. In my view that is the right approach. You will be free from worries.
