Historic Football Matchup for NFL's Superbowl XLV

Green Bay Packers Favored to Win Over Pittsburgh Steelers

Following the Green Bay Packers defeat of the Chicago Bears (21-14) in the NFC Championship game and the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat of the N.Y. Jets (24-19) in the AFC Championship game a historic Superbowl matchup has been set up.

The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are two of the most storied franchises in the NFL.

The Green Bay Packers won professional football championships in 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1996, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame website.

The Pittsburgh Steelers won professional football championships in 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2005 and 2008, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame website.

Las Vegas and the football betting community favor the Packers to beat the Steelers, but if recent Superbowl experience is any indication of success, it might be wise to side with the Steelers. This is Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's third Superbowl trip since 2005, winning in both 2005 and 2008.

Superbowl XLV (45) will be played February 6th, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. (Est) at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The championship game will be aired on Fox television. This is the first Superbowl to be played in the new Dallas Cowboys' stadium.

Yes, I'm talking about the stadium with the ridiculously large big screen above the football field - that 60 yard long jumbo big screen that punters have accidentally hit during football games , forcing re-dos of punts mid-game. So, will Jerry Jones' jumbo big screen be a detriment to Superbowl 45?

yes, that Cowboys stadium is huge with a big personality, just like the team, the owner and the Texan's themselves!
