The second historic hotel in Seneca Falls is Hubbell House on VanCleef Lake, a restored Gothic Cottage filled with antiques and a working marble fireplace. Local rumor has it that the home was part of the Underground Railroad during the Civil War.Room rates run from $135 to $250. There is a full, sit-down breakfast is served at 9:00 AM. Or if you skip breakfast you can get 10% discount off of your room rate and have access to the Butler's Pantry, which has tea and coffee. According to their website, the breakfast is served by candlelight on the finest china and with fine silver and crystal. Breakfast includes homemade breads and muffins, fruit compotes, a hot entrée, juice, coffee or tea.Breakfast can be taken in the formal dining room or on the wrap-around porch from which you can see the lake. The Hubbell House will accommodate special dietary issues when given advance notice. The Hubbell House is on the lake and has boating available. The Hubbell House also has several modern amenities including premium mattresses, hairdryers, air conditioning, free wireless internet, cable television, and on premises parking. The third historic hotel in Seneca Falls is VanCleef Homestead Bed & Breakfast. Rates are $115 - $135 based on double occupancy. Special dietary needs can be accommodated if notified in advance. Arrangements can be made for guests with pets with a local caregiver.
