LaShunda Wilkison
The Research Armament Industries designed the .338 Laupa Magnum in 1983. This rifle is the United Stated Marines long-range rifle. The sniper rifle was initially based on the 416 Rigby. At 1094 yards it can infiltrate military body armor and continues to have an efficient range up to 1914 yards. It's the standard in military anti-personnel long-range sniping.

It's lighter than weighty rifles and decreases the wear of the barrel. Finland established the first commercial version of .338 Lapua Magnum. It is used progressively by hunters or for long-range precision shooting. The solid recoil allows the shooter to fire accurately for longer periods of time before becoming causing any discomfort. The commercial .338 Lapua Magnum case can be used has a parent case for the non-commercial .300 Lapua Magnum and 7.62 UKM. The use of .388 as the parent case produces high muzzle velocities. The .388 is a large and intense cartridge that shouldn't be chambered in any rifle that isn't capable of handling lofty pressured loads. Custom bolts actions can be designed for the Magnum to give balance of strength and accuracy of the rifle. The .388 is currently being used by military and law enforcement in over 20 countries.
