History Repeats

Catdog
Wrenching deep within,
Your past creeping again.

The pain that faded your being,
Comes a knockin', a creeping.

Your insides turn,
As your heart will burn.

Memories are washed away,
With the pain from today.

The agony you suffered in vain,
Is slapping you again.

History you swore you'd beaten,
Breaks you down: Defeaten.

Played you along,
You thought you were strong!

Is it in you again to fight?
Think over just tonight.
