What we never realize
Until it's far too late
Is that there is no song of redemption
sung so loud
That it silences every voice that would speak
against us
against our cause
against the atrocities we've committed.
History is
a watchful eye
Never forgetting a man's transgressions
or tear-stained children in the streets.
Your legacy rests
on the actions that are your foundation.
