Keystone was founded by Max & Edna Dercum back in 1970. He loved the idea of strapping on a pair of skis and sliding down snowy mountains. He found it even more enjoyable next to friends and family, in a beautiful spot high above the rest of the world. Along with the Dercums, Bill and Jane Bergman helped shape the Keystone we know and love today. Bill was the first president of the resort, and the inspiration for Bergman Bowl. Family, friends, and fun-that's what Keystone has always been about.

Today, Keystone stretches seven miles along the Snake River, over three mountains, 3,100 vertical feet, 2,870 acres of terrain, and three vibrant villages with shops, stores, bars, acclaimed restaurants, first-rate conference facilities, and wonderful accommodations to meet any need. It includes two world-class golf courses, renowned mountain biking terrain, horse stables, spas, and much, much more.

Keystone is home to three magnificent mountain playgrounds-Dercum Mountain, North Peak, and The Outback. There's something special for every skier and rider of any level at each mountain.

Keystone is Colorado's biggest night-skiing operation. Under the lights, the groomers seem a bit smoother and every turn is just a little more fun. With up to fifteen trails open, there's plenty of terrain to experience it all yourself. Keystone Adventure Tours offers snow cat rides so you can explore powder stashes and get fresh tracks in our legendary bowls. Then, of course, there are more than 3,000 vertical feet and over 3,000 acres of bumps and bowls, glades and steeps, groomers and rollers to be experienced.

The lighted features in our A51 Terrain Park give you a chance to show your best stuff. Pulling a mute grab or busting out a nose slide looks even cooler under the lights. Come and see for yourselves.

The resort spreads over 3,148 acres and is 3,128 vertical feet. Throughout the resort, you will find 121 trails and 20 lifts including two gondolas, one express six-pack and five high speed quads.

In the winter months, you can enjoy fly fishing, ice skaing, scenic gondola rides, sleigh rides, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. During the summer, you can spend time on two award-winning golf courses, scenic trails, mountain biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, festivals films, concerts, and so much more. Luckily, they average about 300 days of sunshine each year. With everything there is to do at Keystone, you'll need it.

Growing up, I always had teachers telling me how they enjoyed reading anything that I would write. My family would also comment, but I figured they were just being nice. I have always enjoyed writing, and...  View profile
