The Hitachi NT65GB is a 16-gauge angled finish nailer. It is a gas-powered design, so you don't have to worry about an air compressor and cords. You can find this model for an average price of $300. Keep reading to learn about some of the features that it offers.

Fasteners

The Hitachi NT65GB finish nailer has an intermittent cycle rate of two nails per second. It can drive 16-gauge fasteners that measure between 1.25 and 2.5 inches in length. The angled magazine provides enough room to store up to 100 nails at a time.

The Hitachi NT65GB also features dry-fire lockout. This prevents blank firing to help increase the lifespan of the tool. It also helps prevent damage to your work surface. You can easily adjust the depth-of-drive without using any tools.

Fuel

The Hitachi NT65GB finish nailer is powered by a gas fuel rod. This means that you won't have to deal with the difficulties of using an air compressor. A new fuel rod provides enough power to drive up to 1,200 fasteners.

Once the fuel rod is spent, you can immediately replace it with another one. You won't have to wait around for your air compressor to cycle. The fuel compartment locks securely so you don't have to worry about gas leaking.

Battery

The Hitachi NT65GB is also powered by a 3.6-volt Lithium-Ion battery. You can drive up to 2,000 nails on a full charge. An indicator light will illuminate so you know when the battery is getting low. The included AC/DC charger takes one hour to replenish a dead battery.

Nose

The Hitachi NT65GB finish nailer is fitted with a quick-clear nose. This means that you can clear jams without having to use any tools. You can also detach the no-mar cap which helps prevent work surface damage. Once it has been removed, you can conveniently store it on the side of the magazine.

Design

The Hitachi NT65GB is packaged with a pair of safety glasses, two 3.6-volt batteries, and a couple of hex bar wrenches. There is also a carrying case to keep everything together. A fuel rod isn't included with the tool.
