Hitler, Chamberlain, and Ahmadinejead- is History Repeating Itself?
Chamberlain Tried to Appease Hitler with Words. Now We're Doing the Same with Ahmadinejead and Iran!
On Sunday, Iranian President Ahmadinejad responded with the announcement that not only will Iran NOT stop, but it plans to build ten more uranium enrichment plants, with construction on the first to begin in two months.
So much for resolutions !
On September 29, 1938, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and French Prime Minister Edouard Daladier in Munich, Germany hoping to avoid war.
In an effort to APPEASE Hitler, Chamberlain basically agreed to his demands that the nation of Czechoslovakia cede Sudetenland to Germany.
At Chamberlains' request, Hitler signed a "peace treaty" between Germany and Britain (the United Kingdom), and Chamberlain flew back to London in triumph, proudly waving the useless piece of paper and proclaiming, "Peace in our time!"
Just eleven months later- on September 1, 1939, Europe, and the world, was plunged into World War II.
So much for resolutions!
How many resolutions have already been passed condemning Iran for her nuclear program?
How many MORE will be passed before the world learns the lessons that cost more than fifty million lives some sixty years ago: Rogue nations could not care less about them!
Can't our leaders see what is happening here?
Ahmadinejad just thumbed his nose at the rest of the world!
Just like Hitler did 71 years ago!
What did it take to stop Hitler? Appeasement didn't work. Words didn't work. Threats didn't work!
Thanks to the wishy-washy, gutless actions by world leaders, Hitler was allowed to build up his forces, then unleash them on the world. When he did, the only course of action left was war.
Fast forward to today.
What are world leaders doing now? Instead of taking action, they are following Neville Chamberlain's lead, trying to appease a bunch of mad men hell-bent on destruction of Israel, on seeing a world without the United States of America, on pursuing a goal of eventual world domination.
What are we using to combat this threat?
WORDS!
Useless, futile, empty, impotent words!
Words will not stop these people! Only ACTION will!
And that action has to be more than passing more useless resolutions and imposing sanctions!
The fact is Iran is not yet strong enough to take on the whole world.
But the time for talk- for more words- is over! We tried it and it didn't work!
Now it appears that only some type of military action can stop this threat.
Why can't our leaders see that? Why WON'T they see that? While they dilly-dally around, Iran gets stronger and bolder. When she is strong enough, she won't use words any more. She will use missles and bombs!
No one in their right mind wants war. But unless we stop all this talk and deal with this problem now, we will GET war- and sooner than anyone thinks!
