Not All Michael Jordan Cards Cost an Arm or a Leg

As many of you card collectors know, Michael Jordan trading cards have been by far the most popular among basketball fans for decades. I own a few myself and my personal favorites tend to be refractors since they are very appealing and high in value. I never spend more than fifteen dollars on a Michael Jordan card, but there are times when I want to spend a little over fifty dollars on one. The one Jordan card I would like to own would be the 1995-96 Topps Finest Borderless refractors. The rare card typically bids up for around four hundred dollars on www.eBay.com. This article is definitely not for those who purchase these gems for high prices, but for those who want to buy them for at least five to ten dollars.

An excellent way to find Michael Jordan cards at unbelievable prices would be by going to your local swap meet. Swap meets typically sell some pretty rare trading cards (baseball, football, hockey, and basketball) for fewer than three dollars each. I have seen vintage Jordan cards sell for about eighty cents by sellers who just want to get rid of them. I once purchased a Fleer 1989 Michael Jordan card worth about twenty dollars for only one dollar and fifty cents from a kind vendor. I consider that find my luckiest purchase in the last eleven years. I had it graded by the Professional Sports Authenticator and received a 9 out of 10. That is a great score considering that I found that card at a swap meet. You can visit www.psacard.com for more information on trading card grading.

Another place to find many Jordan trading cards for economical prices would be at www.eBay.com. Some sellers sell lots that contain ten to twenty Michael Jordan cards for nine to twelve dollars. These lots typically include basic cards from the Fleer, Topps, Upper Deck, and Skybox brand. Rarely will you find any special inserts in these lots, but it still possible to stumble upon one. I once won an auction that included eighteen basic Michael Jordan cards along with an insert for $7.00. If it could happen to me, than it could definitely happen to you. Finally, my last method on finding his cards would involve purchasing vintage and sealed (unopened) basketball card boxes of the Topps and Collector's Choice brands since they range from eight to fifteen dollars each. These boxes actually carry some of his inserts which are high of value.
