My husband also has some other major needs. He always has to have some type of hobby to keep his creative juices flowing. While I do agree that women need hobbies, it is essential for a man to have a hobby. I admire the fact that he has so many hobbies and he seems to alternate his hobbies depending on the season or just what he's into at the time. I've learned so much from his many hobbies and he has also learned a few things about some of my hobbies such as scrap booking, and excessive reading. I've seen him do everything from bow hunting, fixing motorcycles, reading, art, writing, camping and more. I will always encourage him to have some type of hobby because having a hobby helps him in so many ways. It helps him expand his skill level, reduce stress, and having a hobby is highly enjoyable.
Top Hobbies For men
Brewing Beer from Home
Some men have a special appreciation for beer, especially beer that they have put their heart and soul into making. This is a hobby that requires patience because it can take time to get the taste just right. It can take skill, and the process of making just one batch can take up to 6 weeks. On line kits and instructions are available for those who would like to start this interesting hobby.
Target Shooting
This hobby in particular is a great way for men to get out their natural aggression. Target shooting also sharpens skills such as hand eye coordination, and just the excitement of it gets your blood pumping. The main objective is to hit the bull's eye accurately and consistently. Target shooting ranges usually charge $10- $15 per hour, and gun rentals can cost $5 and up.
Camping and Fishing
Spending time in the great outdoors can be very freeing for a man. It takes them out of their usual stressful environment, and into a place of nature. Camping and fishing are great hobbies for a variety of reasons. Getting out of the city and back to nature is very calming. Relaxing for a weekend up in the mountains is a great way to reduce tension and forget about any drama going on in your life. Camping and fishing is also a great way to spend time with family and friends.
Bow Hunting
Bow hunting requires a great deal of patience mainly because it is more challenging than traditional hunting. Hunting down an animal with the use of a bow, rather than a rifle does make it more difficult because you need to have a closer range to win the prize. Getting closer without being discovered by the animal requires more work skill, and determination. The art of bow hunting can take years to master.
