Shop at Hobby Lobby and Save Money at the Same Time

When I entered a Hobby Lobby store for the first time I was like a five year old little girl in a toy shop. I was in awe. I spent hours perusing every aisle and every item on the shelf. I was dazzled. Since then, I have become a regular at my local Hobby Lobby, and I've found a lot of secrets about the store. I'm an artsy person on a budget, so I have to keep my money close to me when I shop. I have discovered many ways to save money and shop at Hobby Lobby.

First off, if you are a seamstress or into sewing in any way, you will find every item you could possibly imagine at Hobby Lobby. They have fabrics of all types. Whatever project you want to pursue, Hobby Lobby has the fabric you'll need. Then, they have so many notions to choose from. Sewing needles, buttons, scissors, fabric cutting boards and rollers, zippers, threads, ribbons, and fasteners. They carry just about every tool imaginable for the sewing crafter, even patterns.

Along with fabric and notions, they carry a very large array of yarns and threads for crochet, knitting, and needle work. Specialty products such as punch needle applicators are also available. Kits for latch hook, embroidery, and cross-stitch are in abundance and some are specialty kits that add a special punch to the project. Of course the hooks and needles you'll need are also available.

The art department carries a wide variety of paints, paint brushes, artist books, easels, artist kits, pens, calligraphy supplies, drawing pads and portfolios. You'll find what you need at Hobby Lobby.

If you are looking for a new look take a stroll down the jewelry aisles. All the beads, tools, and organizers you'll ever need are resting on the shelves for you to look over and take home.

Hobby Lobby also carries a wide variety of fabric paints and pens. Of course, they also carry t-shirts and canvas bags in various sizes for you to paint your creations onto. Add some bead work to it and have a really unique masterpiece. Being artsy at Hobby Lobby is easy, and the store itself is an inspiration.

In addition to these Hobby Lobby also houses several varieties of doll house kits, furniture, and specialty items. Scrap booking enthusiasts will find any and everything they could possibly want.

For sculptors, several different types of clay and clay tools, including those used for ceramics and pottery. Wood workers will find several different wood tools, glues, and kits. Mix and match from the different departments and come up with a really unique project to make.

Those who love model trains will find so many different options of sets, along with separate items such as scale model trees, people, pets, buildings, and even grass. Models of all kinds can be found in the same area: ships, cars, trucks, helicopters, and even motorcycles.

If you're looking for an educational toy, Hobby Lobby is the place to shop for that too. Sea monkeys, solar system models and kits, chemistry... the list goes on and on. Hobby lobby is the perfect place to shop for that special child in your life that loves nature or science. They even have several art kits for all ages of children in all types of art from bead work to finger painting.

Then, as if all the arts and crafts supplies wasn't enough, they have a huge selection of artificial greenery and floral items in the floral department. Again, you'll find everything you will ever need. Seasonal gifts, glassware, clocks, pillows, trunks, hand bags, furniture, paintings, puzzles, and so many other options are also left to peruse at Hobby Lobby.

So, are you hooked on Hobby Lobby yet? Is your interest piqued? Now, let me tell you how to get these items for a discount. First off go to Hobby Lobby's website and click to receive their weekly newsletter and discount offers. Every week you will receive in your email box a list of the items on sale at Hobby Lobby along with a coupon. Sometimes these coupons are for specific items, but many times it is a coupon for 40% off any one item. You can use the coupon on any one item, even fabric by the yard. Bear in mind that the coupon isn't accepted for items already on sale, however.

I have saved hundreds of dollars on my patterns by waiting until Hobby Lobby lists them for sale at $.99 each. When I normally would pay $21.00 for a pattern, I just pay $.99. That's a savings of $20.00 on one pattern! This goes for so many items. Many times their items are 50% off, and if you wait for the right time you can get what you are looking for at a very reduced rate. By allowing them to send you their weekly sale items via email you can save time and gas by checking there first to see if what you need for your project is on sale this week or not. If not, it will be soon... or you can just print out that coupon and go ahead and use it.

If you can't get out, but still need to shop, Hobby Lobby even offers much of their merchandise online through a sister company, Crafts, Etc.

I am enamored with Hobby Lobby. I has been a real time and money saver for me despite the fact that I am still like a kid in a candy store whenever I enter. I just have to plan a little ahead to buy my treat.

I am not ever going to shop at this retail megastore, it is too impersonal and unfriendly. I was looking for some doll house accessories once for my daughter and the sales clerk did not even help me out in the store that was nearby, he brushed me off and headed down the aisle. This store is so crowded and impractical for anyone's needs. I will never shop there again!

I too am a huge Hobby Lobby fan. Our family even calls it Robby Lobby in honor of my husband putting up with my hours long visits. :)
