The Inn Towner is the more affordable of the 2 motels. It is located on S Mulberry Street in downtown Logan. The rooms start at $35-40 a night. Nearby are the police station, savings hardware and Speedway . The motel is a little outdated, and it is small. The price suggests you could not expect too much luxury when staying here. The Inn Towner does not offer a pool or hut tubs. It is in expensive and within walking distance to most of what the city of Logan has to offer. You can walk to most places worth visiting in Town from here.
The library is nice, it is nearby . When in Logan I would recommend you try Pizza Crossing Pizza, Julies cafe featuring chef David Shafer, The Spotted Owl Cafe also on Main Street and for breakfast stop at Pennies Pastries for a cream filled donut or a peanut butter donut if you can get them! They are wonderful !
If you like old cemeteries walk up to the high school. Take Mulberry up and you will run into the old cemetery . The trees are huge, the graves are very old and you will see squirrels.
The Inn Towner is not that nice of a place but if you are on a budget and not looking for luxury it should be just fine!
The Shawnee Inn Motel is located conveniently off of SR 33 on Lake Logan road. The motel is nicely cared for and very clean and quiet usually. The rooms start at about fifty dollars a night. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. You do not get a pool or hot tub here either but it is nicer than the Inn Towner.
Nearby are several restaurants featuring BBQ and Mexican food. Also a bait shop for all of your fishing needs. Lake Logan offers swimming, fishing and boat rentals. It is a nice quiet lake and a nice spot for a picnic.
The Shawnee Inn is located conveniently near the area Visitor Center and Walmart as well as Remples Grove where you can visit the free small animal zoo. Or play mini golf, go canoing , browse the antique store or have diner at the Old Dutch restaurant. Or maybe just ice cream It is a charming little area full of history.
Old Mans Caves are located just a few minutes drive out State Route 664 South. This is the most visited of all the State Parks in Hocking County.
The Shawnee Inn is a good value . The motel is located within range of the best spots in Hocking County. The staff is nice and they do a great job. I would recommend The Shawnee Inn to anyone traveling to the Hocking Hills region. It is a good value and a nice family friendly motel.

This just turned out to be the worst cabin we have ever stayed in at the
Hocking Hills. WHAT A NIGHTMARE ! -We have been to this region about 20 times
in lot's of different cabins over the years, The owners have not
put ANY money in the cabin in years. The pictures advertised on the internet's
website do NOT reflect reality. It is night and day.
Dirty sofa with stains and holes. I was to afraid to sit in that sofa.
Some of the chairs where broke and fixed with duct tape! The satelite reciever
was TAPED TO THE TV with DUCT TAPE ! Towel racks where coming
off the wall. The chairs in the downstairs room are flimsy and dangerous to sit on.
the fridge had no Door handle. The bed linen was smelling dirty
and I kept my clothes on the first night because I was a
