Tie the Knot in a Romantic Hocking Hills Wedding

Whether planning an elaborate wedding or a spur of the moment elopement, Hocking Hills destination weddings has something to offer. Brides and grooms of all ages are flocking to the Hocking Hills regions of southern Ohio to tie the knot amid colorful leaves, tall pines, and on the shores of one of the many lakes found in the area.

Couples can choose a stay and wed type package from one of the Hocking Hills wedding providers, or create a personalized nuptials package to suit their own interests. Getting married inside a rustic Amish built cabin, standing under a waterfall, or on the slop of one of the landings at Old Man's Cave are all possible in southern Ohio.

Wedding packages can be personalized to include both children and pets. Getaway Cabins in the Hocking Hills offer wedding ceremonies ranging from simplistic to luxurious. Weddings held at Ash Cave are the specialty of the wedding and lodging facility. Simple wedding packages include the services of a minister for the couple only. The bride and groom exchange vows inside a rustic log gazebo in the Hocking Hills. An additional fee is charged to get married inside one of the Hocking Hills are state park. A nominal fee is added to the "Simple Ceremony" package for east guest who attends. Photographers can be hired for an additional fee. The "Elegant Elopement" packaged offered by the Getaway Cabins facility includes the ceremony, decorations of the log gazebo, rose for the bride, boutonniere for the groom, photographer and a dozen photos and the services of a personal wedding planner. This facility is located near Old Man's Cave near Logan, Ohio.

Uncle Buck's Riding Stable and Saloon, located in the northern section of the Hocking Hills also offers personalized outdoor weddings. This facility is located in the Zaleski area of Vinton County. The proprietor's of Uncle Buck's offer weddings on horseback, or just the simple use of the facility grounds for the nuptials. Couples can also elect to use the nearby Moonville Rail Trail as their wedding site. Fees are determined based up on the number of horses used in a ceremony, as well as the number of guests if the reception is held inside the saloon. The bride and groom can choose to utilize their own horses in the wedding, or rent horses currently available at the stable. Both the couple and the wedding party can be on horseback during the ceremony. The couple hires the minister and photographer in advance, but the staff at Uncle Buck's will assist in this type of planning upon request.

The Valley View Cabins facility also offers wedding and lodging services in the Hocking Hills. Services offered at this facility include wedding flowers, photography, and minister, wedding cake, and catering for an on-site reception. Couples can tie the knot inside a log cabin, in a gazebo on the property, or anywhere on the property that they so choose.
