HodgePodge News
Everyone Has an Opinion Whether Fair, Biased, or Uninformed; Its Still Just Their Hodgepodge News
Let me start with the heartfelt enthusiam that Obama followers created for history making news when our now Pres. Barrack Hasan Obama announced his candidacy. It was electric charged most of our American Public, News folks, politicans, and went around the world like a jet. It was so excileratubg to hear the voices pro or con about the opportunity for us to live long enough to feel the motivation that Pres. Obama initated. Americans became interested in politics, human rights, freedom of speech, and dialogues which had not happened since JFK's presence as a candidate. Whether any of us agree or disagee with candidates both of these outstanding citizens put themselves in the public eye in a world gold fish bowl. They both intriqued us enough for us to check out politicans words against their voting records instead of just voting for someone because they were democratic, republican, independent, white, black, hispanic, native american, short, tall, handsome, wealthy, or poor. It was the first time since the 1960's that I actually felt we had a variety of candidates to choose from that had something real to say. The news is the news be it print or other and they were excited as well when Pres. Obama came on the scene as newsworthy to them. But how did it get from newsworthy to demeaning, unamerican hodgepodge news that has separated and divided our own citizens regardless of party, education, views, or voting records. My opinion is that history making news had changed to be a massive dangerous "GROUP THINK PROJECT that has brought us downhill without a place to think for ourselves.
Did the enthusiam provoke fear in some who had a stronghold of how we discuss our rights when we try to speak our truth in our opinions? How is it that citizens, politicans, news folks, and advertisers around the world and in our beloved United States think they have the freedom to state their opinions as factual? Of course I know that its the "talk show hosts" job to ridicule to get a laugh but is it the new American Way now for others who dont make a living as talk show gurus to ignore our Bill of Rights and do know harm. The current "Tea Parties" are the current band wagon hodgepodge to jump on now and that's okay, freedom of speech is our right, but there is a difference between truth and the hodgepodge of GROUP THINKING". What is the underlying motive to broadcast statements about anyone else that is degrading, rarely proven, and divides us as American Citizens? I will listen to anyone's point of view but when someone begins to smirk and lie as they dishonor another be they polictians, news reporters, voters, or citizens I immediately begin to question the speaker or writer's credibility and common sense. We expect degrading uniformed words to surge out of Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, the late Red Fox, and even the everyday comic but now that disease is from Americans. They are claiming their information is based on valid research that is fact based and truth. Whose truth is it? I have actually heard folks in the news and in the grocery stores say things like, "Did you hear Obama is not an American Citizen and his promises are lies? Do you know that the "Tea Parties" are KKK without their hoods? How the crap would any of us be able to validly say any of that BS and look ourselves in the mirrot? That's like believing that Mickey Mouse was a serial Killer. It is absurd to fall for the degrading "falsehoods" of Group Thinking; wake up people, you have been duped.
Why do American and World citizens take what is in the news as absolute facts? Even our history books have opinionated statements that history has proven as wrong and biased. One that comes to mind is that lie that Christopher Columbus discovered United States of America. When I was in fourth grade I knew the school books authors were opinions and not truth of fact but simply that people had repeated that Columbus discovered U.S. A so many times they began to believe the misleading tales and unfortuately their children were taught it as factful truth. Historical News is much like religion its taken on faith not scientific proof. None of us alive today were present when Christopher Columbus got lost but I can tell you that Portugese, Spainish, and Africans were his saving grace since he failed miserably as a navigator and they he got them to a land safely that was not North America. Also, none of us know who are orginal ancestors were let alone if we are black, brown, white, or what religion they org. were nor what land they came from; why are we still making assumptions about others based on the color of their skin, texture of their hair, how much they weigh, or how tall they are? Aren't we all human beings that live on American soil as free citizens. My goodness even serial killers have the human right to be treated fairly before conviction, why don't we stop hurting others.
It is my human opinion that all people of the world, especially Americans, would be wise to check out their assumptions that harm others and find out the source of their hodgepodge new before they go down in history as falsehoods that destroyed our constitutional rights in our beloved democracy. At least when I was actively spouting my "flower child" hodgepodge I could blame it on getting caught up in the drug movement and came to my adult senses when I saw pictures of myself 10 years after all our outrageous behaviors. What will those who now state hodgepodge crap think of their lies that are harmful when they retire and look back at how wrong with garbage that comes out of their mouths. Did you know that our org. people on this American soil were not white nor English? Afterall, the Boston Tea Party of our U. S. history were fakes who dressed up as "Indians" to do harm not bring anybody any true constitutional rights, freedom and certainly were not friendly. They only wanted converts to their silly harmful belief systems. Perhaps its time for all of us to relook at "Thanksgiving" and the horrible devastation the pilgrims brought on our First Nations friendly people in the name of opinionated discrimination. Afterall if we all check, we are all multiracial but believed what our parents and teachers taught us but what if they taught us hodgepodge lies not facts. No one will know the facts unless you were there and even then we all can be manipulated into believing falsehoods. Let us stop being "bullies", informants, and be the respectful of each other as humansand stop going along with "Group Thinking".
