Holiday Craft for All

Mr. Penguin

*Shell*
Puppet or decoration penguin.

By using simple recourse's I found around my house, my son and I made a decoration for the winter holiday.

Materials needed;
( My version, you may substitute anywhere you'd like.)

Scissors
Tape
Pipe cleaner
Toilet paper roll card board
Hand held hole punch
Markers and/or crayons

Instructions:

Place white no-line paper around the cardboard toilet roll taping it in space, so the surface is smooth.
Then draw your eyes at the top of the roll, then placing the whole punch half and inch down in the middle of both eyes for the beak.

For the beak, fold a pipe cleaner in half and insert the folded end into the whole, it should stay in place on its own. Then draw your outline of the penguins body (the white belly, and color the rest of him/her black with a crayon or marker.

Draw two big triangle shapes, and two little triangle shapes on a piece of no-line white paper, or a piece of construction paper if available to you. Then color them for the feet and wings of your penguin to your preference. Place them on the roll by using tape.

A top hat is a fun addition but not necessary for this project.

Can be used as a finger puppet, a Christmas treat decoration, or simply a regular decoration.
