Holiday Craft Fair: Home for the Holidays-- Ephraim, Utah, Co-op Craft Fair

Holiday craft fairs abound at this time of year, but if you're looking for a holiday craft fair that has unique, handmade items, and is held in a beautiful, Greek Revival-style, two story building that holds historical significance and small town flavor, the Home for the Holidays Craft Fair at the Ephraim Co-op is the place for you.

If you're looking for something different to do over the Thanksgiving weekend, a drive to the small town of Ephraim (located in Central Utah) might be just the ticket. Once there, you can wander through the Co-op and find handmade gifts of every description and size. Pottery, quilts, afghans, books, art, photographs and prints of the nearby Manti LDS Temple, greeting cards, and old-fashioned candy are just some of the unique, quality merchandise you'll find in the store. And you'll find many more items of interest at the booths upstairs, as well, during the craft fair.

In the past, the holiday craft fair has not only included hand-crafted items and food, but also books by local authors, art by resident artists, and photos by area photographers. Shirley Bahlmann, author of numerous books about the pioneers, takes part in the craft fair. Mark Anderson, photographer and owner of Studio 89, has merchandise in the store, and Rebecka Fore, artist, usually has paintings there, as well. These three are just a few of the talented artists and craftsmen that participate in the store and/or the holiday craft event.

This Thanksgiving weekend, consider taking a drive down (or up, depending on where you live) and enjoy the small town atmosphere, the beautiful unique gifts, and the opportunity to meet with the warm, friendly people that are members of the Ephraim Co-op and the Home for the Holidays craft fair.

Driving Directions: Google Maps has excellent driving directions. Click here and then click "Get directions" on the left side of the Maps page. Enter the town you're leaving from and type in "Ephraim Co-op, Ephraim, UT" as your destination.

Word of Caution: Make sure you obey the speed limit going through the small rural towns on the way to Ephraim. It's easy to go faster than you realize and end up with a ticket, thereby ruining your holiday weekend.
