Holiday Decoration Shopping in Baltimore, Maryland

Finding a place to get your holiday decorations is no easy task. In Baltimore the only problem is that there are some many places to choose from. I have complied a list of what I feel is the top 5 place to holiday decoration shop in and around the Baltimore area.

Let's start with my favorite little Christmas shop, The Christmas Company. This is a quaint little shop filled to the brim with all sorts of Christmas decor. You can choose from name brands like the harbour lights collection or the old world christmas line. This little shop has something for every Christmas lover and the best part is that it is open year round. As soon as you step foot into the Christmas Company's doors you will be delighted and enchanted by the sounds, smell and charm of Christmas. This is a great place to get your self into the holiday spirit. The Christmas Company is located at 8289 Main Street Ellicott City, MD 21043 and you can contact them at 410-461-2470. The Christmas Company is open Monday through Thursday and Saturdays from 10am till 5pm and on Fridays from10am until 7pm and Sunday's they are open from 11am till 5 pm.

The next place on my list of the top five Holiday decoration stores in the Baltimore area is Wal-Mart. Now everyone know that you can find great items and deals at Walmart, but if you are on a tight budget than walmart is the place for you. You can grab your light sets and everything to trim the tree with in one stop shopping. It is also always at low prices. Most likely if you go some where else you may get one item cheaper than Walmart but you may spend twice as much on another item. So to save time and money checkout Wal-mart's holiday decoration section located in the lawn and garden area. Walmart is also a great place to pick up clearance items at the end of the holiday season. Checkout the local Walmart at 2701 Port Covington Dr, Baltimore, MD 21230 always open 24hours a day.

My third pick for holiday decoration stores in the Baltimore area is Michael's. Michael's is a craft store. They will run specials throughout the holiday season. I amtalking like 50% off sales. Watch their fliers and catch they items that you want to add to your holiday decoration collections on sale. Last year I was able to get crystal garland that retails for $15 for 6 feet for only $7. Another trick to getting great deals at Michaels is to ask for their 40% off coupon when checking out. Most of the time they will give you one when you ask. There is a local Michaels store located at 1238 Putty Hill Ave, Towson, MD 21286. Store hours vary during the holiday season. Some nights they will be open until 12am or later.

My fourth pick is the home improvement store. I prefer Lowe's but you may want to try Home Depot. At Lowe's you can get great deals on the Christmas decor. Everything from real trees and fresh garland and wreaths. What more can you ask for when entering your home than to spell that scent of fresh pine. This is a great place to pick up that special item. You can also do good as Lowe's towards the end of the holiday season. I was able to get an entire village collection for around $100. This collection would have normally cost over $300 but I caught the pieces on clearance. Checkout the Lowe's store located at 6650 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 open Monday through Friday from 6am till10om and Sunday's from 8am till 8pm.

My final pick for holiday decoration store is Big Lots. This is like an up graded dollar store or a down graded retail store. Big Lots usually gets odd or irregular items. They also get a lot of over stock or previous years items. This is ok for the savvy shopper. You can still catch really great deals. Watch your items to be sure that they are not damaged. You can get just about any holiday decoration that you could think of. They get stock in early and you will want to be sure to catch them early in the season for the best selection on items. You will find many Big Lots located in the Baltimore area one is located at 344 Hospital Dr, Glen Burnie, MD.
