Even though you are at the beach and the waves are crashing does not give you an excuse to slack on the holiday decorations. Here in Virginia Beach holiday decorations can be serious business. Here are my top five picks for the best holiday decoration stores in the Virginia Beach area.

My first and possible most favorite Christmas shop of all time is the Christmas Mouse. This is a great store which had seven different location in North Carolina, South Carolina and of course Virginia. Here in Virginia Beach the Christmas Mouse is where you want to go to get that special some on a special ornament. The Christmas Mouse is the guru of Christmas ornaments. They have ornaments for just about everything. Whether you are looking for that perfect fireman ornament or the littlest princess you will find your ornaments here. You will find the Christmas Mouse at 1116 Atlantic Ave., Ste. 103
Virginia Beach, VA 23451.

My next next store is Walmart for your holiday decorations. This is my number two decoration location because of the vast supply of holiday decor. Here you will find everything you need from the outside to the inside. They have numerous types of holiday lights. Here you can also get quality artificial trees and wreaths. Walmart is most definitely a one stop shop for holiday decorations. They will have everything you need and they have various types of style so there is sure to be something to fit everyones style. The other great thing about Walmart is that they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week so you can shop for holiday decor when ever the spirit moves you. You can find the local Walmart at 657 Phoenix Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

My third holiday decoration location is the home improvement store, Lowe's. Lowe's has some really great options for your holiday decor. Lowe's is a great location to get fresh real pine wreaths and trees. You can also find great deals after the holiday season here at Lowe's. I was able to get an entire village collection for only $100 which would have cost at least $300 at regular price. Lowe's also has everything needed to hang your holiday decor safely on your home. You can find Lowe's at 1546 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA .

My fourth pick for the top five holiday decoration stores in Virginia Beach is Target. Target is a great place to shop for that special holiday decor for the dining room. Target always carries a special occasion accents for the dining room area. everything from the table cloth to special dishes to make your table set for the holiday season. Target is also a great place to find the modern Christmas decor. They have a great selection of holiday decor for the person with a modern style. They carry everything from your Christmas stocking to the tree topping. The only catch with Target is that it is best to shop early for the best selection as their stuff gets picked over early. You can find the local Target at 525 First Colonial Rd, Virginia Beach, VA .

My final destination for holiday decoration shopping is Michaels craft store. During the Christmas season they run really great sales. My favorite sale is the midnight madness sale. They have regular priced items marked down 50%. You can also use Michaels coupons for 40% off a regularly priced item. Last year during their midnight madness sale I was able to get crystal garland that usually is $16 for 6 feet for only $6. This is a place to find the perfect pieces to add to your holiday decorations. You can find Michaels at 737 First Colonial Rd # 107, Virginia Beach, VA .

Shopping for Holiday decoration is a easy as 1,2,3 here in Virginia Beach. There are so many options to find the perfect holiday decor for you. Be sure if in the area to stop by the Christmas Mouse for your favorite Christmas ornaments. This makes a really great stocking stuff to give to friends and family. It is something that they can pull out and remember you with every year. Stop by Lowe's to get that fresh scent of pine to hang on your front door, or make Walmart your one stop Christmas shop.
