Christmas Punch
Create a special holiday punch that celebrates the colors and flavors of the season.
What You'll Need:
2 quarts of either Sprite or Sierra Mist
2 quarts of lime Kool-Aid
1 can of unsweetened pineapple juice
1 small jar of maraschino cherries
1 cup of frozen strawberry slices
2 quarts of lime sherbet
punch bowl
Begin by scooping sherbet into your punch bowl. Slowly add soda pop, Kool-Aid and pineapple juice. Garnish with frozen strawberries and maraschino cherries. This punch is both tasty and festive looking.
Sparkling Kool-Aid
Create personalized sparkling drinks for the kids at your holiday event. Set up a bar style center where they can come and request or make their own sparkling drinks.
Here's what you'll need:
Several quarts of Sprite, 7-Up or Sierra Mist
Various flavors of Kool-Aid (consider flavors in holiday colors such as cherry, strawberry, lime and tropical punch).
Fill each cup or glass mid-way with soda pop. Let the child choose their flavor of Kool-Aid, then add one tablespoon of that Kool-Aid to the soda pop to create a sparkling Kool-Aid drink. Offer garnishments such as lime slices and frozen raspberries, or cups with sparkling sugar rims.
Christmas Lemonade
Add a little taste of summer to your next holiday celebration with a special holiday lemonade. This is very easy to make and quite delicious.
What you'll need:
1 container of frozen lemonade (sweetened)
4 cups of cranberry juice
4 cups of cold water
Mix lemonade, cranberry juice and water together to create a Christmas lemonade. Taste and add sugar if desired. For added pizazz and flavor, garnish drinks with candied cranberries, orange slices or other fruit.
Don't forget to have hot non-alcoholic drinks on the menu as well. Must haves on your menu include hot chocolate (with garnishments and toppings like marshmallows, whipped cream, crushed candy canes, chocolate shavings or Hershey's kisses) and apple cider (for ease purchase individual packets in an assortment of flavors such as Granny Smith, spice or caramel).
