If you plan on being in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2006 holiday season, there are plenty of events and celebrations scheduled this year. You don't need to look very far for something to get your in the spirit of the holidays. Tree lighting events, Christmas parades, holiday music and festivities for the entire family can be found. Many events are free and some charge an admittance fee, but there will be something for everyone, both young and old. Just get ready to go out and enjoy the beauty of the season in Las Vegas, Nevada this year.


The Light the Night Spectacular at Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Las Vegas takes place on December 1st through December 31st this year. For a unique taste of desert cheer, be sure to visit the gardens and experience a true cactus Christmas this year.

The Botanical Cactus Garden of the factory showcases 350 different species of cactus and desert plants. All during the Light the Night Spectacular they're all lit up with holiday cheer and thousands of twinkling holiday lights. Along with the beautiful winter display, the Chocolate Factory also offers tours through the factory during this time. This December find the time to visit Vegas and enjoy the Ethel M Chocolate Factory's Light the Night Spectacular. The factory is located at Two Cactus Garden Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89014.

The spectacular event that is the National Finals Rodeo has a companion event for the Christmas season which is the NFR Cowboy Christmas Gift Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. If you have any interest in cowboys, cowgirls, Native American items or western gifts of any sort, you can't miss this spectacular event.

In conjunction with the 2006 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo being held at the Thomas and Mack Center, the NFR Cowboy Christmas Gift Show will have over 400 vendors from around North America selling thousands of unique gift items. You can pick up Official NFR and PRCA licensed merchandise, autographs from famous "cowboys," and Indian handmade products. The Las Vegas Convention Center is located at 3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119.

The Fremont Street Experience is a huge block party type festival held each year in early December. The Holiday Festival at Fremont Street Experience will exhibit a holiday tree display to be on view, a March of the Toy Soldiers procession, photos with Santa Claus, and a holiday light and sound show featuring the 2.1 million lights on the Fremont Street Experience canopy nightly throughout the event. Activities are free for everyone and there will be something for the entire family to enjoy this holiday season. The traffic is closed in some areas and many streets are blocked off, so you will need to plan on arriving in plenty of time if you want to attend this event.

America's Party New Years Eve 2006 takes place on December 31 , 2006 on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Usher in the new year while attending this amazing outdoor party.
Every year, Las Vegas hosts America's Party: Las Vegas New Year. This year will be the city's sixth annual fireworks event. Hundreds of thousands of tourists and locals alike gather on the Las Vegas Strip to watch the spectacular pyrotechnic display. Fireworks will again be presented by Grucci. Again, the traffic is intense and many streets are closed, so you will need to plan on arriving in plenty of time if you want to attend this event.
