Seattle Center Presents Winterfest
The event runs from November 24, 2006 - January 1, 2007 at the Center House, Fisher Pavilion & Grounds. The celebration runs for 5 weeks and includes holiday lights throughout the Seattle Center campus, Winterfest Ice Rink at Fisher Pavilion, and Winterfest Carousel at Fisher Pavilion. There will also be a turn-of-the-century holiday train exhibit in Center House, the Giant Tree in Center House, Winter Worldfest, and Winterfest Holiday Movies. Santa Photos in Seattle
From Thanksgiving to Christmas, Arthur and Associates offers holiday photos with Santa at the Downtown Bon Macy's and many other Seattle locations.
Holiday Carousel at Westlake Center
The event runs November 24 - December 31.
Thanksgiving and run through the last day of December.
Santa Train
Runs from November 25 and 26, December 2, 3, 9, 10 and 16.
The event allows participants of all ages to travel by train for a visit with Santa Claus.
Santa Train 2006 is scheduled for November 25 & 26, December 2 & 3, and December 9, 10 and 16. Trains depart hourly from North Bend beginning at 9 AM; the last departure is at 3 PM. Tickets purchased the day of the event are $14.00 each. Every participant aged two years of age and older requires a ticket. Tickets may not be available on the day of the event. Since 1995, every train has been sold out well in advance.
CHRISTMAS SHIP CELEBRATIONS
December 1-23, 2006
The festival is a ship-to-shore holiday celebration that has become a local Northwest tradition for 57 years. It runs nightly December 1-23. The Spirit of Seattle is the Official Christmas Ship and is decorated with hundreds of white lights and holiday garland. Choirs sing holiday greetings from the ships and these performances are broadcast via speakers to bonfire sites and to other boats participating in the parade.
Other decorated boats join in the festivities by following the Christmas ShipĂ–, forming the largest holiday flotilla in the world, cruising to over 45 waterfront communities.
19th annual A Victorian Country Christmas Festival
Located at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup. Events include a Victorian village, Quick Stop Christmas Demonstration Theater, Pepsi Holiday Jubilee Theater featuring Stardust Follies, The Silver Spurs Country Western Review, Michael Peterson, the Singing Nativity and more. Ticket Prices are Adults-$9.00, Senior/Students-$7.50, Children 5 & under-free.
The Issaquah Reindeer Festival
Located at the Cougar Mountain Zoo, this one-of-a-kind event to benefit the animals at the Zoo. Meet Santa's Reindeer Team, visit Santa in his house (10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm), sit in the Grand Traveling Sleigh, write Santa a Letter and put it in his personal mail box, hear an Elf read your favorite Story, and enjoy a Children's Holiday Art Project.
The event runs from December 1st through the 23rd, 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission Fees are $10.00 Adults (13-61), $9.00 - Seniors (62+)$7.50 - Children (2-12), Under 2: Free.
Whatever your preference, whatever makes the holidays special for you, Seattle will most likely have it ready and waiting this year. Whether it's the soft glow of twinkling lights on fragrant pine trees or a cup of hot chocolate while you watch the Christmas parade, you can find it here.
