Simple diamond stud earrings, kitten heels, and a simple clutch evening bag work very well with this look and will keep you from looking overly dressed up.

To give a modern twist to this look, add a pair of solid black tights, stacked high heels, and a flashy statement necklace.

Over sized tunics worn with a pair of leggings and flat suede boots are also a great comfortable choice, as are mini dresses worn with a pair of solid colored tights and knee high boots. Many retailers such as Express for Women now carry tunics adorned with sequins and glitter, which are perfect for a formal or dressy occasion. Add a large gold or silver bangle cuff, long necklaces, and a pair of hoop earrings and you are good to go. Over sized tunics also go great with skinny jeans and a pair of platform heels.
