Marbles Museum
Take your kids to the very fun, kid friendly Marbles Museum during the week of Thanksgiving. Enjoy "Garden Sprouts" where kids learn about gardening and can taste test. Join in games JUST for kids. Sit down for a fabulous story-time. Also enjoy MVP Wednesday for members and get there at 8:30am before the crowds. Turkey Day Run and Wobble Gobble 2011
Before you stuff your faces with food and thank everyone and everything for all you have and who you are, go on this annual 5k run. There are usually 5000 participants as well as prizes, costume contest, music and so much more. A fun way to start the holiday. (Raise money for local charities.)The 34th annual Thanksgiving 5k Run -starts at 9am November 24th (registration starts at 7am) at Marion Square Meeting Street and Henrietta Street in Charleston, SC.
Kwanzaa Celebration
Dancers, a "wedding", music, stories, soul food, fashion shows and so much more at this fantastic celebration for Kwanzaa this year. It is open to anyone who would like to share in the occasion and learn more about the holiday. Thirty-seven minutes east of Rocky Mount at the W.C. Chance East End Cultural Center on December 25 - January 1 (contact for more info on times and dates) in Robersonville, NC.
Menorah Parade
This is the first annual Chanukah Menorah Parade with food, music and plenty of fun. December 1st at 4:30 pm be there for the parade that goes from the Jewish Day School to the South Carolina State House in Columbia, South Carolina. At 5:45 pm they will light the menorah at the state house.
