Do you have a knitter in your life? Are you looking for Christmas gift ideas? There are lots of things that you can get a knitter that they will be thrilled with and enjoy all year round. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Knitting Books. Most knitters love to read about knitting. There are lots of new books coming out about knitting all the time. Go to the Craft section of your local bookstore and see what they have. You are sure to find some great ideas.

Knitting Magazine. There are quite a few knitting magazines available now. Any knitter would be thrilled with a subscription to a knitting magazine. Consider getting a subscription to a knitting magazine such as: Vogue Knitting Magazine, Creative Knitting Magazine and Knit Simple Magazine.

Gift Certificate to Knitting Class. Visit your local yarn store or give them a call and ask if they offer classes. Most do. They will probably be thrilled to have you purchase a gift certificate for a class for your friend. If the knitting store for some reason does not offer knitting classes, they will probably have a good idea of a place that does offer classes in your area - and then you can call them and ask them about a gift certificate.

Yarn. Now what could make a knitter more happy? More yarn! Ask the yarn store for help and describe your friend or family member and their knitting style. They will help you pick out some yarn for them. A great idea is to select a project idea for your friend to do, and then buy the yarn for them to do the project. If for some reason the project does not appeal to your friend (it is too easy, or it is too hard, or it is similar to a project they have recently done) check with the yarn store about their return policy.

Gift Certificate or Gift Card for Yarn Store. You will be sure to please any knitter with the idea of an afternoon spent at their favorite place - the yarn store! They can select a project or new knitting needles and get some great ideas. They will certainly like this gift.

Massage. You may be surprised to see this on the list, but knitting can make your shoulders and neck quite a bit sore. It is repetitive motion. Any knitter certainly would not turn down a soothing massage. This would be a welcome treat for a knitter, that is for sure.
