Personalized, Easy to Make, and a Terrific Gift for People of All Ages

With the approach of the Holiday Seasons, making gifts can be easy and fun to do. Allow your creativity to flow, adding that personal touch. This project is easy to make your own personalized recipe book for yourself or for someone else.

All you need is:

A 3-Ring Presentation Notebook Binder

A 3-ring hole punch

A word processor such as MS Works, or MS Word

Some paper

A printer

An Internet connection

Design the cover and back pages in the word processor on 8x10 sheet of paper. Designs can include borders or background of a tiled pattern. Add text of the name this recipe will be fore. If creating your own recipe book, add your own name or title of your choosing. Do a similar design along one edge of 8x10 sheet of paper with the recipe book's title. To do the spine, you'll need to match that of the 3-Ring Binder such as 1" or 2". Check with a ruler if necessary. Print and slide into the cover of your 3-Ring binder.

Once you've assembled this, you can now print out recipes as needed from a number of web sites. I often include a list of my favorite web sites so the person receiving this gift can go crazy with assembling their own cookbook with recipes they like.
