First, you need to decide on the amount of money that you can spend for the gifts. Next, you need to make a decision on the type of gift you would like to buy for the students. Remember to purchase an age appropriate gift for your students.
Some gift ideas for a teacher to purchase for their students include, memo pads, pens, pencils, crayons, coloring books, a book to read, stickers, a word search or crossword puzzle book, and a notebook.
If you are thinking about giving some sort of school supply as a holiday gift, you might purchase these items during various back to school sales or at discount department stores. Bargain prices at back to school sales or at discount department stores will hopefully help keep the total cost of your holiday gifts for your students within your budget.
If you would like to give a holiday gift of a book to read to your students, you can look for good buys at various bookstores. Another way to help stay within your budget might be to order books from a book club.
Once you purchase all the holiday gifts for your students, you need to decide how to wrap the holiday gifts. Depending on the circumstance, you can use Christmas wrapping paper, all-occasion wrapping paper, or plain solid color wrapping paper.
Finally, you need to make a decision on when to distribute the holiday gifts to your students. If your class is having a holiday or Christmas party, you might want to give the gifts to the students during the party. You might also choose to give the holiday gift to the students the last day of school before the Christmas or winter vacation.
During the holiday season, my students always received a Christmas gift from me.
Some of the Christmas gifts that the students in my classroom received over the years included coloring books with a mini box of crayons, and two memo pads with a few pencils.
Each gift was wrapped in festive Christmas wrapping paper and given to the students during our classroom Christmas party. My students always appreciated the fact that they received a Christmas gift from me.
Hope that you were able to get some ideas on a holiday gift for the students in your classroom.
