Gift Wrapping Service
Practice your gift wrapping skills on some empty boxes and work on your bow making. Once you have those two skills mastered, offer a gift-wrapping service for friends and family. Offer to pick up and drop off the presents as an additional service. Create some creative gift tags using your computer and printer. Ask your client to tell you who each present belongs too. Check your spelling so that Santa gets it right. Include a gift tag on each present with a special note from Santa. Deliver your presents wearing a Santa hat and colorful outfit. Teens may choose to work for tips or ask a flat rate per gift.
In Home Babysitting
Hold in home babysitting for parents who need to babysit. Select age appropriate holiday movies and snacks for kids to enjoy while parents are gone. A good babysitter can watch several children without letting things get out of hand. Set up special activities like cookie decorating, popcorn stringing and Christmas crafting and advertise what activities you will be holding on the nights you will babysit. Parents like knowing their kids will be involved in a fun holiday activity. Charge a little extra to pay for supplies.
Pet Photographs
If you like pets and have worked with them before, a good teen holiday job would be as pet photographer. You must have patience and a good attitude to get the shot. You will also need some Santa hats for pets and backdrop material. Offer to take Christmas pictures of pets and email the photos to the owners. Charge a fee for the photographs.
Wreath Making
Crafting is fun and teenagers like working them. One of our favorite holiday jobs for teens is wreath making. Buy scrap firs and make wreaths with some fish wire. Wrap the wreaths in battery-operated lights and bright red Christmas bows. Sell your wreaths to people you know and then visit the people in your neighborhood.
