Are you up for being dazzled? Do you love the water? Canyon Lake is hosting its 24th annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Canyon Lake! The event takes place on December 1, 2007 beginning at 6:00 pm and runs through 9:30 pm.
The Christmas Parade of Lights on Canyon Lake occurs annually on the first Saturday in December. Approximately 35 water crafts will circle the lake all decked out for Christmas with lights, decorations, and displays. The decorations will be judged at the Canyon Lake Marina. Admission is free!

Locals not interest in water sports can join the holiday celebrations in Gruene, Texas. The 19th Annual Christmas Along the Corridor - Pony Express Run will commence December 1, 2007 at 10:00 am.
The Comal County Sheriff's posse will forward a message by relay from the Governor of Texas to the Gruene Historic District. There will be a post office near the Gruene Outfitter's to cancel Christmas mailings with the 2005 commemorative stamp representing Gruene.

Follow up the Pony Express run by visiting the Christmas Market Days. The market will run December 1st and 2nd from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. There will be crafts and packaged Texas made foods from over 100 different vendors. Of course there's live entertainment in Gruene Hall, over 25 shops, and restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Cowboy Kringle will be available for pictures so dress in the holiday spirit! Admission is free!
Also in Gruene, Cowboy Kringle will spark off the holidays by riding into town to light it up. Music and festivities will begin at 5:30 pm on December 1, 2007. The annual Gruene Town lighting event will occur at 6:00 pm. Be sure to stick around for this after the market! Admission is free!

On December 6-8 and 13-15, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, the North Pole Village will be held in Canyon Lake. You will be able to tour Santa's Village! There will be a petting zoo, face painting, a cookie decorating stand, and a post office stand to write a letter to Santa. You can visit the toy factory, an Elf's house, and the Village Church to hear the story of Christ's birth. A hayride to Bethlehem completes the tour! This is an event sure to please.
Admission is $3 per person, children 18 months and younger are free! The North Pole Village is located at the CRRC Recreation Center, 125 Mabel Jones Drive off South Access Road in Canyon Lake, Texas. This is an annual event held on the 2nd and 3rd weekends in December.

Get into the holiday spirit and join the spectators on December 8, 2007 at 11:00 am for the 29th Annual Canyon Lake Christmas Parade! The parade will be held in Sattler, Texas on FM 2673 at River Road.
Local schools, shops, citizens, and government rally for the Christmas parade. Held annually on the 2nd Saturday in December, this is a Hill Country favorite! Some store owners offer snacks during the parade and are open for shopping afterward. The surrounding high school marching bands will be there! Also expect to see beautiful floats and the Shriners up to their usual antics! Antique cars will cart the local government. The Sheriff's Posse on horseback will escort Santa in for an early appearance! Admission is Free!
