The holiday season comes to life in the town of Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you live in the area, or are just visiting, here are a few places that you must visit to see the best holiday light displays in the city. Take the whole family and make it an annual event! You'll be in the Christmas spirit in no time!

Nicollet Mall

When: Thanksgiving Eve
Time: From 6pm to 10 pm
Where: Nicollet Mall, enter and exit at Washington Avenue South and Grant Street South

This is a fun way to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. On this one and only night of the year, drive your car on Nicollet Mall and enjoy the city of Minneapolis's holiday lights and decorations. Stay warm in your car as you take in the beauty of the twinkling lights!

Bentleyville

When: November 23rd to December 30th
Time: 5pm to 10 pm
Where: Visitors must park at the "Bentleyville Parking Lot" located on the corner of Highway 33 and Morris Thomas Road.

Bentleyville is a completely free event that the whole family will enjoy immensely. The Bently's love Christmas and want to share their holiday spirit through their annual light display. Walk through the huge display of lights, animations, snowflakes and more with your whole family. Come on in and see the 78' x 24' high castle made completely of lights, over 500 snow flakes in the trees and a cookie house filled with hot coffee, cookies, and apple cider for the guests. Have a S'More at the S'more Hut, and visit with Santa Claus every night from 5 pm to 9 pm, Thanksgiving through December 23rd. A donation of a non-perishable food item or an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots is greatly appreciated.

Plymouth Lights

When: December 1st turn-on date
Time: Dusk
Where: Suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota

Christmas at the Fischer's Place is an annual Christmas lighting display that is put together by Tim and Cathy Fisher and their family. Their light show features a computer-controlled program that "dances" to music as you listen to songs broadcast over an AM frequency. Listen to the sounds of Christmas as you enjoy the show at FM 103.3. The holiday light display is estimated to have around 35,000-40,000 lights, and takes days for the Fishers to set up. You'll enjoy the Peanuts gang, snowmen, angels, nativity scene, and so much more in this spectacular display of holiday lights and music.
