There are 2 really big displays that are worth going out of your way to see on your drive. The first is a family that goes out of their way every year to put up a whole display around their house. Stop by, 4091 21st. Ave. North St. Petersburg, FL 33713 for a fabulous Holiday light display. Their display includes a 80 Chanel Light O Rama setup, 22 Mini Tree's, a Flag pole Mega tree, 4 huge roof stars, 32 Candy Canes, Windows lighting up, and assorted bushes shrubs. Next, we have another family that puts together an amazing display in their front yard. This house is located at 3471 50th Ave N St Petersburg, FL 3371. This house features, over 10,000 lights synchronized to music, Static lights, and blow-ups figures. The family collects donations for Make-A-Wish every year. Next take a short drive just outside the city limits to the Florida Botanical Gardens. Stroll through the Florida Botanical Gardens free brilliant, display of more than 425,000 holiday lights each night through New Year's Day. Best thing about this attraction is it is completely free to do! This event runs the whole month of December.
If you want a 'Florida themed' Holiday light show, don't forget to stop by 4255 Morlock Lane (Buena Vista Park). They have 7,000-plus lights, a 9-foot whale, dolphins, palm trees, flamingos, alligators, ice skaters, and soldiers! Also stop by 2026 Orange Drive (Buena Vista North). 7,000-plus lights and many lighted sculptures. This house includes, lighted alligators, palm trees, a pink flamingo and a dolphin. Also, 5738 Ivy Lane (Forest Hills East). Mr. and Mrs. Santa in a golf cart are the holidays-in-Florida attraction here, with 10,000-plus lights, snow on roof, weather permitting and an array of colors and animation.
Also, take a drive down Hess Drive the whole street gets involved but the one house that sticks out is 2013 Hess Drive (Buena Vista North). They have Nativity, stars, arches, many Santa's, figures on the walls, highest tree in the community decorated with more than 4,000 lights.
