Holiday Light Displays in Wichita, Kansas: A Smorgasbord of Events

If you love celebrating the holidays, you should consider moving to Wichita, Kansas. This year Wichita is hosting a smorgasbord of holiday light displays that are made for all ages. Anyone can enjoy the celebrations put on in Wichita, Kansas, and there are so many to choose from, you can find exactly what you're looking for within just a few miles from downtown.

For a more adult crowd, the Lights on the Lake Preview Party held November, 16th may be your first choice. Lights on the Lake will offer live music and entertainment along with an array of drinks to compliment the night. Auctions will be held and food will be provided for the patrons, not to mention the "flip the switch" ceremony that will cap off the evening. Admission is $50, but the price will pay for an experience that will last for years. Lights on the Lake will be held at Heartspring, 8700 E. 29th North. and the Preview Party begins at 6:30pm. Donations will be accepted but admission is generally free. The Lights on the Lake Party will be more oriented for kids, so bring along the little ones to enjoy hot chocolate and a photo with Santa.

For an awe-inspiring holiday light experience, be sure to visit Illuminations at Botanica. The event will provide patrons with thousands upon thousands of brilliant light displays strewn throughout the garden. This event combines nature with beautiful man-made creativity. Catch the festivities between 6 and 9pm between November, 23rd and December, 9th. Admission is $3 for most children and $8 for adults. Call (316)-264-0448.

For a more Christmas spirit-oriented event, take family and friends to Lights of Love at the Bradley Fair Plaza on Rock Road. Singer Donna Tucker will provide songs and entertainment for an event that sponsors the Ronald McDonald House Foundation. Located on 21st and rock road, Lights of Love kicks off on November, 23rd at 5 PM. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Wichita is a perfect destination for local Kansas residents, but a better destination for holiday travelers. Visit these destinations or look into dozens more offered in Wichita and all over Kansas. Chances are that these events will surpass many holiday celebrations you've had in the past and provide a blueprint for how to enjoy the season in the future.
