Holiday Light Shows in Michigan

Janice Villa
I live one hour away from Michigan. We love to drive to see the holiday light displays. If you live close enough I would encourage you to drive up and enjoy the awesome lights. Below are some great places to check out!

Crossroads Village and the Huckleberry Railroad
6140 Bray Road, Flint, Michigan
600,000 lights!!! Wow, this place has a great light display. The entire village is lit with colored lights. The locomotives and tracks are also set up with holiday lights. The villagers are dressed in costume and are getting ready for the holiday season in the homes and shops in the village. You will feel like this is a step back in time in the 1860's. There is live entertainment and of course Santa is there for the children to tell their wishes to. If you want to have a holiday dinner in the Mill Street Dining room, I suggest you call ahead and make reservations, 810-736-7100. Prices for the village are, Adults $9.00, Seniors $8.00, Children 2 to 12 years $7.00, Children under 2 are free. Call ahead for group discounts.

A new animated sound tunnel has all LED lights. They also have a concession stand with chairs and tables for some quick snacks during the festival of lights. Make a visit to Santa at his house and take a look at the holiday hut where you can buy crafts.

What are holiday lights? I thought they were called CHRISTMAS lights. No one I've ever talked to has said "I'm going to hang my holiday lights on my holiday tree"

They sound lovely! I love lights too, there's one display here, in a park, by businesses. That's it, aside from individuals. Sigh. Great work!
