Fredrick County Parks and Recreation has transformed Clearbrook Park into a Winter Wonderland. This is a walk through the lights at Clearbrooke Park. Warm up to hot chocolate stands and cookies while you stroll through the lights at Clearbrooke. Santa Claus even makes an appearance at the Park. The event takes place beginning December 7th at 5:30 -9:30 and is open every night until December 30th with the exception of December 24th and 25th. The fee to enter is $3 for children12 and older and only $1 for children under 12. The week of December 17th through the 23rd the fee is free for children under 12 years of age. This will be a magical evening for you and your children or a great romantic evening for you and your special someone.
If an Olde Tyme Christmas is more your style then visit Belle Grove Plantation where area garden clubs have decorated the Plantation in a historical Christmas Style. Belle Grove Plantation will transport you into the past with there decorations. The candle lit paths and dimmed lights set the scene for the magical Christmas decor. All the windows are candle lit and in the parlor is the magical Christmas tree decorated in white lights and antique ornaments. Enjoy the music while you spiced tea and nibble on a cookie or two.Guests 10 years and over can visit Belle Grove Plantation for just $10 a person and guests under 10 years of age are admitted free. The Belle Grove Plantation will be opened from 10am till 9pm beginning December 7th on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for three weeks. For more information or to purchase tickets call (540) 869- 2028.
For a free evening of Holiday Spirit stroll on down to Old Town Winchester. Here the cobbled streets will be adored with holiday decor and the stores will be lit with holiday lights and spirits. You can enjoy live music and artist during the First Friday in Old Town Winchester. This event will feature paintings, drawing, ceramics, sculptures, prints and photography. This event is sponsored by Shenandoah Arts Council. The First Friday will be December 7th from 6 until 9 weather permitting.

Post a CommentI took the family to this; it was ok. The web site says that children under 12 are $1 but they charged $3. When questioned they said that this wasn't their web site and the prices are wrong. Who is right? Ticket person was most unprofessional and rude. He was full of the Grinch.
