Ingredients
Serves 4
1 cup ketchup
1 can pineapple juice
1/4 cup onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 dash red pepper flakes
1 dash salt and pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 clove garlic
1lb ribs
1 tsp nutmeg
1 fresh pineapple
Directions for Holiday Pineapple BBQ Sauce
1
Mince onion and garlic.
Mince garlic and onion, add to butter and saute until tender. Once these are tender, set aside.2
Pour ingredients into saucepan.
Now, pour the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, dash of Mrs. Dash and nutmeg to the saucepan. Allow this to come to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes. The longer you simmer, the better the flavors will blend together to make a delicious BBQ sauce.3
Add ribs to crock pot.
Once the barbecue sauce is done (you can taste), add your ribs to the crock pot. Now pour your Holiday BBQ Sauce over the ribs. Place the setting on low and let cook for up to 8 hours. Your ribs will fall off the bone and be delicious by the time your holiday party is ready to begin.4
Cut pineapple chunks.
Note: I usually get rid of the pineapple pieces, but since this is a holiday dish, you can take a fresh pineapple and slice. Have these sitting in a separate dish for people to snack on. This is not only a fresh and delicious snack, but people will love them!Tip
