Holiday Ponytail Styles for Short Hair
A holiday ponytail for short hair will, obviously, be short on tail. To compensate, maximum appeal should be added to the front of the head.
The best ponytail for short hair is a low ponytail secured with a very thin ponytail wrap. Decorate the front of your hair with unique hair accessories. Use holiday ribbon, a sparkled headband, or seasonally themed bobby-pins to further secure any short, front hair pieces that your ponytail leaves loose. If you want to further dress up the actual tail, use sparkled clips to decorate the edges of your actual ponytail wrap.
Holiday Ponytail Styles for Medium Length Hair
A woman with medium length hair has a lot of options for an easy, breezy holiday ponytail. One completely classic variation is the deliciously side-swept ponytail. Part your hair either straight down the middle or slightly off-center and pull into a ponytail. Keep the ponytail base between slightly above the nape of the neck and slightly below the ear level. After you secure the ponytail with an inconspicuous elastic, consider embellishing the length of your hair with a dedicated Christmas themed ribbon or a classic, holiday-green ribbon.
You can also consider putting your hair up into a sweeping high ponytail secured firmly at the crown of your hair. This style looks best when you have completely slicked back your front hair and the only loose hair appears within the swish of your ponytail.
Holiday Ponytail Styles of Long Hair
Long hair also looks stellar in a high ponytail, but it will look best when the loose hair of the ponytail is curled slightly with a wide-barrel curling iron or hot rollers. Picture the length appearing as a series of curly-q holiday ribbons.
Long hair can also be crafted into a braid-wrapped ponytail. Part the hair straight back from crown to neck and from ear to ear. Use the front pieces to craft two braids and use the two back sections to craft one mid-rise ponytail. Wrap the standard braids around the ponytail and tuck the ends inside this elastic. It will look like your hair is spring forth from a braided fountain instead of your scalp!
Use ponytails this holiday season to craft unique hairstyles for your parties. No matter the length of your hair, there are numerous fun styles to explore!
