Pro's and Con's of Each!

Dreading all the holiday shopping, the long lines, and early mornings for sales? What about the online shopping and trying to order so things will get delivered in time? Here are some solutions to help jump start your shopping, with pro's and con's of in store shopping and what to do online.

First, we will start with traditional store shopping. There are many advantages. One of the many being, most sales are only available for people who come into the store. So this means, they aren't available on the website. Many times with all the rushes coming in items will get miss-marked in your favor, so you could get things really cheap, for $20 or $30 less then what it should be priced at. This doesn't happen online. Also at checkout, watch the prices everything is rung up at. Sometimes this whole miss-marked thing can work against you, and things can be marked for higher then they should be. Always have what you want in mind for everybody. This will make things much easier with all the crowds!

With shopping in store you have all the crowds and lines. Getting through one store can be a nightmare, and you are never sure if you are getting the best price. You don't even know if what you are going there for will even be in stock! It can be a hassle and some shoppers can be down right vicious!

Then there is shopping online. You can go to your favorite stores and view their online catalogs. Some of these items aren't even available in store! You can do this in your PJ's if you want, and don't have to deal with long lines and crowds. You can comparison shop and take your time to look for what you want. You will know instantly if your product is available or not.

Keep an eye out, some online stores will even gift wrap your purchase, and send it to the recipient for you! Many online stores will offer free shipping, but if they don't you have to pay shipping, one down fall. Also, some stores free shipping may be when your purchase totals a certain price, or more. Sometimes though, shipping is cheaper than the gas you would have used to get to the store and back. Many stores will also offer no payment until January first. This is a big help for people doing a lot of shopping.

The down falls to online shopping are that you have to have a credit, debit or gift card. You can't pay in cash. With online shopping you need to make sure to place your orders ahead of time, so you can get your orders before Christmas. There is also never a miss-price online so you don't get the unexpected bargains like you would in store.

With many advantages and disadvantages to both, it is really just what you feel more comfortable doing. If you work at the mall, and you are already there, it's great to do your shopping. If you work all week and want to spend time with your family, then internet shopping is the way to go.
